I know that in the additional information section, it says to either upload a document involving the additional information OR to use the box that they provide for you to type your response. But the thing is, i wanted to upload a document on why that particular school is my dream school but i ALSOOO need to elaborate on one of my awards. Is it it okay if i upload the dream school document and then write about the award in the text box given? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Remember, the additional information section is seen by all the colleges you use the common app for. So unless you are just applying to just one, don´t put your dream school message with the common part. If that school doesn´t have a supplement to which you can add it, maybe send a separate letter/essay.

Also good to note that you can’t upload a document and write in the text box. The question is designed for you to do one or the other.

thanks so much, i didn’t realize that everything that i put in the box is going to be seen by all schools i’m applying to through the common app
