HELP! Quick, worried about 2nd semester grades

Hey everyone,

I just found out I got a B+ instead of an A- in my journalism class, putting my GPA below a 3.0 for 2nd semester. However, I have 5 B's, 3 in AP classes, and one C in math. I am worried about being rescinded, does anyone have anything to say besides call the admissions office?

I wouldn’t worry cuz there is no F’s in there. One of my friends who has a 2.9 gpa just got admitted off of the waitlist and has only taken easier classes all 4 years of high school. So just like you, I have a couple of B’s in my grade. And I don’t really care anymore cuz I am practically paying all of my tuition and everything myself anyway.

So, enjoy your summer and give yourself a pat in the back for a job well done.

The thing is that I have no A’s, so my GPA is below a 3.0 which worries me.

I attended a JHUCTY program last year at UW and one of the speakers said that a student who took hard courses like AP and Honors are highly regarded than students who took easier classes with all A’s. So unless you have a D or an F in there somewhere, I wouldn’t worry. Just so you know I got a D for college English for my 3rd term and a B for 1st semester. And to be honest I was slacking off, a lot. And also, I just found out that another student from my school, another kid who don’t care about working hard just got admitted. So, with your AP classes, if I am an admission officer, I’ll admit you over them any time.

yeah man your fine, i wouldnt worry
