HELP!!!! Quinnipiac Law or Pace Law???

I'm asking this for a family friend...any info would be greatly appreciated!

"I'm looking at the pros and cons between Quinnipiac Law School and Pace Law School. I plan to go into criminal law - which would you choose? I visited both schools and was equally impressed. Since I live in Connecticut and plan to live at home, Quinnipiac is the easier commute. Would firms look at the school much differently or are they equal in status?"

They're both third-tier schools, so I don't think it makes a huge difference. If s/he wants to practice in Connecticut, Quinnipiac might be a better choice, while Pace is better for NYC, though neither is going to guarantee much of anything in the way of employment.

Thanks for responding Americanski...I'll pass that along!

Thats not true at all...My sister's boyfriend went to quinnipiac law and he is a corporate lawyer in NYC making $150,000. You don't have to go to Harvard or Yale to get a good job somewhere.

This is nearly impossible coming out of Quinnipiac. There is literally not a single Quinnipiac grad at Wachtell, Cravath, S&C, Skadden, K&E, Weil or any of the top NYC firms. There are only 81 Quinnipiac grads listed in NYC and only maybe a dozen are working at large firms. You'd better be in the top 10% of the class if you want even a shot at NYC biglaw coming out of a school like that.
