Sup guys - my friend is narrowing down his college choices and it's come down to Quinnipiac vs Manhattan. He practically has a full ride to each and is having a tough time deciding between the two. He doesn't have a CC account so I'm asking for him - what do you guys think? I know these may be 2 lower-end schools, but overall what is better? Any opinions help. Thanks.

Quinnipiac is completely out of Manhattan’s league. If you compare both school on the US News and World Report website and spend a couple of days visiting these schools you will see for yourself. Good luck.

@antioch1098 - My S may apply to both of these schools, so I’m interested in your response. I assume that you mean that Quinnipiac is better than Manhattan. Do you have any more details to use to compare.

Quinnipiac and Manhattan are both good schools. However, QU is clearly better overall. According to US News and World Report, QU is ranked #9 in the northeast while Manhattan is #17. QU has twice as many students, five times as many acres, higher median SAT scores, a lower acceptance rate, and well over $200 million in the bank. Also, QU’s campus is much more state-of-the-art and asthetically pleasing than Manhattan’s. QU is surrounded by woods and situated next to Sleeping Giant Mountain yet fifteen minutes from Yale University in New Haven. Manhattan is down the street from the ghetto. QU has a law school and a new medical school. QU is a huge hockey school who competes in the D1 ECAC Hockey League with league members Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Cornell, Brown, Dartmouth, Union, St. Lawrence, RPI, and Colgate. Ultimately, potential students should visit both campuses and decide for themselves, but I definitely endorse QU over Manhattan. Good luck!

@antioch1098. Thanks for the detail. I would agree that Manhattan’s campus was just “okay”. We are scheduled to visit Quinnipiac next month and your response is very helpful.
