Help! Really Tough Decision!

Last week i got a likely letter off of the wait list from my NYU admission counselor. I really like NYU and I’m scared of turning down binghamton and going to NYU.

Binghamton Premed VS NYU premed. Money is NOT a problem.

Im really scared because i haven’t visited NYU in a while and i (assume) have to reply to the email ASAP. Tours this week are full. What do i do?

It’s really awesome. NYU Premed has a great program. Check out the campus online and read about it on Niche to see if you’re okay with the independent indie vibe and then join us because NYU is the best!!

I doubt NYU has changed much. If money isn’t a problem for undergrad AND grad school, go to NYU.

if i go to nyu, i would be commuting.

If i commute to college, how different would my college experience be from the typical college experience? Would i have trouble making friends? Also I kind of felt weird when i visited nyu because it doesn’t have a campus. does the lack of a campus detract from the feel of a “college environment”? Thank you for responding

I am not sure it makes sense to go to NYU and live at home if you want a traditional college experience.

I know that the experience will be different, but how different? I am a 15 minute train commute away from NYU so I’m not that far.

I guess I’m not really going after a tradition college experience, I’m just worried that if i commute ill have trouble making friends/join clubs etc…

15 minute train commute… that’s like nothing. The majority of students, even the ones that dorm (except freshmen) are about the same distance from campus.

15 minute commute will make 0 difference. The students are spread out everywhere and the dorms are huge so you don’t really make a ton of friends there anyway. Lots of students leave the dorms after freshman year and live in the East Village area. Your commute is no different than everyone else’s. 0 difference.
