<p>i went to columbia.edu >> students - i know its somewhere around here (this is what the dean told me) but i am unfamiliar with this stuff and would like to know exactly where to register.</p>

<p>well, you can't actually register until you get to campus on Friday, Sept 2nd. But to look up classes, go to <a href="http://www.college.columbia.edu/students/academics/search.php-%5B/url%5D">http://www.college.columbia.edu/students/academics/search.php-</a> this site lets you look up classes according to department, class name, and such or
