When do freshman register?

<p>My family's never been to college before and i don't know what in the world I'm doing. But I'm just had questions about registering for classes...</p>

<p>How do we find out who our academic advisor is? Are we supposed to contact them, or do they contact us? When do freshmen register for classes and how do we know what we are supposed to be taking? Are the classes filled now? I'm getting kind of anxious because all my friends at other universities already went to orientation and have their scheldules for next year. I'm afraid I missed registration. Maybe it works differently on the East coast...</p>

<p>i think we get our registration packets in the beginning of July, so you haven't missed it. I think they save spots in a lot of the entry-level classes for freshman, and everyone i've talked to hasn't had trouble getting into a class that they wanted to take.
