HELP! Should I consider applying to U of Mich as a reach school or do i have a 0% chance?

I am aware that my scores are not top notch, but I am very involved with EC’s.
ACT: 24
GPA: 3.8 weighted

  • Based on my grades/scores, could anyone PLEASE suggest any schools in the midwest area? I would like to be in a school where more than half of the students are smarter than me (I like a challenge).

What’s your unweighted GPA? Did you take any AP classes, and if so, which ones, and how did you score on the tests? What are your ECs? More information would be really helpful!

What state do you live in?

Are you recruited? If not, dont waste your money and time. The gaps are too wide.

What Ec’s?
What classes are you currently taking?
By the end of senior year, how many AP/IB/Dual Enrollment classes will you have taken?

Depending on your course rigor, you should apply test optional to Kalamazoo, Illinois Wesleyan, Ohio Wesleyan, Wooster - for reaches, Denison.

What major were you thinking of?

Nursing or Pre-med (most likely nursing)

IB Chem, IB Psychology

IL

If you really want to go to Michigan, I’d recommend going to a place like Kalamazoo College and transferring.

Seconding Kalamazoo (an excellent college), Beloit, Gustavus Adolphus, Illinois Wesleyan, Albion, Allegheny, Ohio Wesleyan, Wooster, Earlham, Concordia Moorhead, St Kate’s in the Twin Cities, St Benedict, Millikin, Capital Oh, Carthage. RUN THE NPC’s!
From Illinois, you should not look into public universities in Michigan, which will be too expensive, but rather into private universities OOS.
