Help! Should I go to Cooper Union or RPI for engineering?

I have recently been accepted to both RPI and Cooper Union for mechanical engineering. I was also accepted to UIUC, but I received almost no money from them. Cooper Union and RPI are giving me enough so that I would only pay around 10 k a year including everything from both. But I don’t know which to choose! The prestige of the program and ability for me to succeed afterwards is what’s most important to me! But I also care about missing out on a college experience because I barely had a high school experience. Thanks in advance for the help!

They’re both equally prestigious, so that should not be a factor.

Fit should matter more. Cooper Union has very few majors and essentially no campus. But you get to live in NYC. But that is expensive. Where are you from?

RPI is more like a typical (tech) college. You’d have more flexibility of majors. Definitely not in NYC.

I’m from NJ. It would be around an hour and a half commute.
