Help! Some advice on telebears please

Next semester, I'm planning to take Chem 3A (only lecture), Physics 8a, Public Health 116, and German R5a
I'm not sure which ones to choose for Phase I/II since there's only 1 lecture next semester for Chem 3A, there's lab for Physics, there's limited space for German R5a, and many people want public health 116. Any suggestions?

I would probably Phase-I chem and physics.

My reasoning: I’m guessing that you’re taking PH 116 only as a breadth class? If yes, hold PH 116 for Phase II - even if it’s full then, you can just waitlist or enroll in another (available) class for the breadth. As for R5A Phase II you probably have a small chance of getting in, but you can save this class for spring or summer anyway. I know plenty of people who took their R&C B class (R1B, R5B, etc.) during sophomore fall semester. Instead of R5A this semester, you can take an elective or a class for breadth.

Correction. You can enroll up to 10 units for phase I:

chem 3a: 3 units
physics 8a: 4 units
ph 116: 2 units

Thanks! The thing is though, R&C classes need to be completed before junior year so I’m worried I won’t be able to finish it in time if I don’t phase I German R5a :/

Phase 1 Chem 3A, German R5A and PH 116. Physics 8A is a no-waitlist class, and people will drop during adjustment. Just be ready to attend meh sections like TuTh 4-6pm if you’re unlucky. Labs for Physics 8A are a joke, don’t really need your brain, so you’ll be fine.
