HELP! Statement of Intent to Register

I don’t quite remember what I did when I accepted my offer to Davis :frowning: I keep seeing this all over forums and facebook and even my admissions page. What is the Statement of Intent to Register? I accepted my admission to UC Davis about 2 weeks ago, but I don’t remember being forwarded to a page about the SIR. How do I know if I turned it in or not? Is there a form I have to fill out like the Statement of Legal Residence (SLR)? And I heard we have to pay $100 for this.

I did get accepted as an EOP student so do I still have to pay for this?

If there is an SIR page do you mind sending me the link, please?

SIR is the same as “Accepting”. You have accepted admissions to Davis, but you have not registered for any courses yet… but your “Intent is to Register”… in August.

I can’t recall, now that we paid the $100 along with our SIR… but I think you have to pay that also before May 1. You said you are EOP… but you better be clear what that means as far as paying fees on time. You should call the Admissions office and ask.

You also need to sign up for the 3-day orientation in August… it’s mandatory… that’s where you actually pick your classes. If you don’t attend, it’s not clear how you would select your classes. Again, that’s another $150 or $265, depending. You might ask about that as well.

Cheers.

if you’re in eop, your sir deposit of $100 is waived. the sir was a page that only had like two options… to accept or reject?
you can tell if you submitted your sir already by this right under “required tasks”:
“Now that you have accepted your admission to UC Davis, there are additional tasks you must complete prior to your registration for classes. Failure to complete these tasks may result in a hold on your registration, loss of residency status or loss of financial aid.”
and on the left hand side, under “admission status”, has a link called “Cancel Statement of Intent to Register (SIR)”

if so, you should be good to go :)

Really?! That is exactly what my login page looks like. Thank you for the information, but I think i’m still going to call admissions to make sure. Again, thanks! :)
