<p>He SLEPT through the test. I didn't have to cover my answers. I barely registered snickering behind me the last 3 min. of the MC section. I was not 100% of the cheating incident until AFTERWARDS. </p>
<p>Seriously, some people in this thread are acting like they are cheaters themselves. </p>
<p>I will have my parents talk to my school's Principal tomorrow. I am invalidating this test. I will have the other teachers who were aware of the situation contact the college board. The student witnesses. I am not letting a ghetto, disgusting, immature piece of poor scum take credit for the work I did over MONTHS. By myself. Studying Monday through Sunday without exception.</p>
<p>Look, I agree with everything you've said. It looks like you would have gotten a 5 though, and that's why I think you should leave it the way it is. Look at it this way:</p>
<p>If they did in fact cheat on you, they'll get credit for their cheating and then suffer in their more advanced class in college, possibly failing. Cheating only endangered their Chemistry performance in college, and that is sufficient punishment IMHO. The best part too is that it won't invalidate your scores.</p>
<p>You said he was sitting behind you, how could he have seen you mutiple choices over your shoulders? Did you at least try to shift a little to block it from his view.
I don't know about other schools, but at my school, we take the test in the library and everyone has one big four-sided table for one's self. And each table is like 3 feet apart so cheating is impossible.</p>

<p>anyway, i still think it was naiive of you to not even cover your answers. i cover mine no matter what, even though the closet person sitting next to me is at least 2 feet away.
if you're smart enough to do some chem problems, you should be smart enough to know that your answers need to be covered.</p>
<p>I feel bad for the OP. But I would probably just let the guy go. It's not like he'll get anywhere in life with that attitude anyway; what's a 5 on AP chem gonna do for him?</p>
<p>I don't know about some of the people here, but I definitely agree with what you did. This is snitching but what that person did was conscious and horrible and definitely should be punished, and it sux when you studied really hard for something and then had someone not have to work because they cheated.</p>
<p>and about the Urbandictionary quote, LOL, I agree that CC is wayy too uptight about cheating but sometimes having someone cheat off you SUCKS.</p>
<p>But i dont think you should get your scores cancelled meth, because other ppl 1) are NOT going to get a 5 considering they probably bombed FRQs, and 2) would not do anything really with a passing grade anyways because they suck in everything else. one 4 or 5 isn't going to offset a whole history of weak academics. it's ok..</p>

<p>It's obnoxious what the cheaters did. -shrugs- the OP is clearly upset. Cut him some slack. He's not making a bigger deal of it than it is -- CC is.</p>
<p>How does this show anything about him as a person? That he condones ... fair play? For those wondering why he spent so much time whining -- er...he's only posted 3, 4 max times that I've seen, and that almost only to respond to questions directed at him.</p>
<p>It really sounded like he was rushed for time and just did his test. He wasn't SURE if the kid was cheating off of him or not (the OP said he was suspicious, but it wasn't until the cheaters admitted they cheated that uh...he knew for sure), and he needed time to work on his remaining questions. I'm sure everyone's not done simple things because it wasn't the most inconvenient thing to do at the time.</p>
<p>Just stop while you are ahead, really. You know, it would be a shame to invalidate your 5 over a ghetto loser. What's the worst that can happen? He'll get a 3 or 4? So? A 3 probably will not guarantee him a course and a 4 .. well, he will be in an advanced course that he has no experience in. Just move on and do well in life, he probably won't.</p>
