Help This Neo-Hippy Pick A School

I honestly think you should go to one of the schools on your original list. I think you did a good job finding the right fit for you when you put that list together.

Sophisticated people will be aware of the top 20-30 LAC’s, skatergirl. Anyway, if you’re so determined to demonstrate your own principles, why are you so follow-the-masses? It takes no imagination to apply to any of the top universities.

UCLA. SOUTHERN California. In Westwood Village, about 500 or so yards from campus, are all of the following: Urban Outfitters, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, at least 2 Yoga Studios (in addition to yoga classes on campus), about as gay friendly as you can get without being up at UCSC or Berkeley, and what was the other criteria? Oh, yeah, there’s a Jamba Juice on campus to meet those emergency vegetarian needs.

this is hysterical.

Unfortunately UCLA, As someone who likes treehugging, environmentalism and conservation, I would like to go to a school close to forests so I can camp out in the wilderness once a month. (Hence, why I applied to Wake Forest).

im too lazy to read thru it all but if ur gonna throw UC’s in there:

UC SANTA CRUZ

is ultimate “hippy” school
^in a cool way. go banana slugs :D

I also vote for US Santa Cruz. Gorgeous campus, veggies/organics galore, surfing year round (wet suits required), in the middle of a redwood forest (I kid you not!) with deer grazing everywhere, naked run during the first rain, drum circles in the woods at full moon, campus is closed on 4/20 for obvious reasons, need I go on? I would guess that gay rights and feminism would not be issues either. It’s not quite as warm as the South, but it has fewer bugs. Also, if you also like physics, you might have found heaven. The residential college system allows you to choose like-minded peers. College Eight is the environmental one.

Ohhhhh skater girl. You are privileged aren’t you?
Being a hippie takes work. You need to walk the walk if you are going to talk the talk.
No posers allowed ;)

run along and take your ideals with you - go to one of your original schools and blend.

Yep, it’s cheap as dirt, just 47,000/year or so. Go for it.

I am still trying to figure out if this girl is real

Guilford College is the one for you

Oh good heavens she’s pulling everyone’s leg

^ Hence why I called hipster right away.

Hipster/■■■■■, it doesn’t matter. People need to stop making suggestions as she’s clearly not serious.

I am usually too lazy for this, but I looked at her older posts.

She is a college junior, a member of Young Republicans ;)
I guess just trying to have fun on parents’forum

Not the first time either.

The OP is definitely a ■■■■■ goofing on everyone on this thread. I’m still laughing. I love the line about her father working for Goldman. HaHa.

Definitely pulling everyone’s leg. Check her previous posts.

If you are for real, how about Agnes Scott in Atlanta?

Wake Forest really does have a lot of trees. I don’t know how many of them get hugged on a regular basis though.

Well, that explains THAT.

Oh, OP, not nice to goof on the parents here. You must feel pretty confident that you won’t really need any advice in the future. Some of us have long memories
