I am an international student. My school provided me all the materials sealed envelope and I mailed it to UChicago along with my application materials. Now, when I go to check my application status, it shows that the SSR and Transcripts are not received yet. But all of my other school documents (International Supplement and Mid Year Report) are already submitted. How could this be? All of them were sent in the same envelope. They only updated my account yesterday, so could it be that they still did not go through all of my docs?

Please reply, and help relieve a kid of his anxiety..

I am an international applicant from India and the same thing has happened to me. Hopefully, we will not be required to send these documents again.

Same here, from China. Missing School Report and HS Transcripts, but these are all packaged in one envelope. I received a Missing Document email a few days ago and resent the materials. But still no status update on the online portal. Has anyone’s problem been solved?

Posting an update. I just could not risk it, and sent another packet containing the documents via DHL express (Costing me an extra $35). Now they updated my account and showed that they received everything. You would think problem solved, right?

No. After my application was complete, my Financial Aid tab became available. And it showed that the CSS Profile and Income tax returns are not submitted. But international students are not even required to submit the CSS Profile. Still, i ask the Admissions office, and they inform me that I can upload the documents to my account. I did that, and the account showed that they received the documents. however, when I sign in again the next day, the financial aid documents vanished from the received documents list. There is no mention of them whatsoever.

Has anyone else faced a similar problem with the financial aid docs?

RoghE I faced the similar problem. It was quite absurd that at once the foreign financial aid app got vanished. I uploaded the scanned file; the account showed that the admission office received it then, but the next day I learnt that the file was nowhere to be found. Moreover, I am unaware if the college has received my SSR and other docs that i sent with it.

If it showed that they received the Financial Aid forms then there is no need to worry. The checklist is removed to assure you that all docs have been received. And if they don’t, they will notify you.
