Help! UCLA UCSD SIR to both?

Ok, I don't really know how to make this short, so here's the whole background story. I'm a transfer student and I got accepted into UCLA and UCSD. However, I got a D+ in a class last quarter and I had to notify both schools.

UCSD said I was fine and I was good to go, but UCLA said I'd have to get a B+ in all my classes this quarter for them accept me.

At first I was pretty confident that I could make UCLA so I went ahead and SIR'd to UCLA. Now I'm getting nervous and not sure I'll be able to get a B+ in one of my classes. I decided I should go have a look at UCSD and see if I could SIR to them also in case UCLA rescinds my application.

But then I realized, I'm only allowed to SIR to ONE UC. And now I don't know what to do anymore. I'm right at the borderline where I'm not sure if I'll get a B+ or not and I REALLY REALLY want to get into UCLA.

I don't know what to do. Can I call UCLA to try to negotiate something? I mean, I have probable A's in the rest of my other classes except for that one class...or should I call SD and tell them I might or might not make it into LA but can I SIR to them also just in case I don't make it?

Has this ever happened to anyone else before? I'm really at a lost here and panicking. I just really want to get into LA. If not then SD.

NO!!! A SIR is saying that you intend to go to that school. There is also a fee to go with it. Seriously, you attempting to SIR to two schools is messing with other individuals who are wait listed.
Someone else said before that if you SIR to two schools your acceptance should be rescinded… Who ever said that I agree with you 100%.
I don’t see how a D would be accepted by UCSD… I think you have been giving misleading information.

I have a problem SOMEWHAT like this. I SIRed to Cal and my conditions require me to get a B in one particular class that my grade is a little iffy in. Fortunately, my semester ends in two weeks so I’ll know my grade before June 1st in case I have to withdraw from Cal and SIR someplace else. Are you on the quarter system? :/

I called them and explained to them. If you don’t believe me, then too bad. I don’t appreciate that insinuation that I’m lying.

Yeah, I’m on the quarter system  I really wish I could find out how things will work out that soon. I really don’t want to kick some poor kid off the waitlist or anything, but I was accepted before them even with a D…and I want to make the best of what I got.

you still have time. Wait until you hear back from UCLA. However, if you don’t hear back by the time of the deadline I would SIR to UCSD.

Im not insinuating that you are lying and I really could care less. You posted a question and I gave a response don’t get mad at me because the response I gave you wasn’t comforting or what you were looking for. What I am saying is a D, D-, D+ no matter how you spin it is not transferable I don’t get how that grade can be accepted. It is my understanding that a grade of a D or F would need to be retaken. I’m not 100% sure of this but most schools have a condition of acceptance which includes a certain GPA and standing from the school you are transferring from.
You are the only one who knows how your are doing in the courses you are taking, if you feel like you can end up with B’s SIR to UCLA if you’re struggling and think you may get a few C’s SIR to UCSD. I would pick one, because to me SIR’ing to 2 schools is selfish.

Why are you so upset over this? I think you misunderstanding my question. I’m not telling the world that I plan on SIRing to both schools. I know I’m not allowed to SIR to both schools which is why I’m asking if anyone else has experienced the same thing and what they are planning to do about it. SIRing to both would only come after I called both schools and explained my situation.

And as for my grades. This is my one and only D. And I have never received a C in my life. I had a 3.7 GPA up until that one class which wasn’t a major requirement either. I took that class for fun. I’m sure in most cases a D wouldn’t be allowed, but since I contacted both schools about, explained the circumstances around it they made their requirements.
