I am right now in AP calculus AB and currently have a D-. I am a junior with a 3.8 GPA right now and A's in all of my other classes. I am trying to get it up but the highest it can go right now is up to a C+ for the semester. How badly will this affect my chances of admission? A part of the reason for a bad grade is that my dad had major surgery and I had to take care of him. Should I take the class at a community college or an online course to show a grade improvement? or would that grade not count?

My U of M gpa would be a 3.792 assuming I get all A's for my other classes and all A's next semester.

Basically I'm asking did I screw up my admission chances?
