Ok so I basically just screwed up with my calculus grade and now it's a D I think I can get it up to a C by the end of the year but if I don't I'm afraid that UM is going to revoke my admission. My other grades are all A's except for Calc. Is there a huge chance that my admission will be revoked?

EDIT: The reason for why my grade in calc is so low is because I had to leave the country for a couple days due to a family matter. Now it's not an excuse for my grade but it caused me to miss a lot of important lessons so I'm basically lost and I'm trying to find tutoring.

Thanks I needed some reasurance because I know it doesn’t look good on a transcript for someone to get a D but as I stated on my edit, I missed a couple days and as most of you know, missing a couple days of calc is like missing out on the most important parts of a lesson.

You won’t be immediately revoked. They may send you a letter over the summer asking you to explain why your grades dropped, so you can just tell them about your situation.

Last year, a few kids from my high school who dropped to C’s got letters like this from UM, and they didn’t really have any excuse besides senioritis :P. None of them ended up getting revoked.

If the rest of your grades are As and Calc drops to a C, you should be fine. You may have to explain a D though. Your acceptance will not be rescinded for just one C or D.

Pull it up to C and then they won’t even contact you.
If it falls to a D… then you will have to explain, but your excuse seems legit enough… so i wouldn’t worry.

Ask the teacher if you can catch up on some lessons, maybe ask for notes.
Try to get it up to a C, B is better
If you get a letter, send them in writing a explanation and also CALL the admissions office about your situation.

thanks for all the feedback guys but it looks like I won’t be able to get my grade to a C, my teacher isn’t helping me out in anyway whatsoever but the fault is mine for having missed classes. The thing is that my other grades will actually have improved since last semester because for mid-year report my grades were AP lit B+, AP Econ B+, TA 3 A and AP calc C but this last semester my grades will be AP Lit A, AP Econ A TA 3 A, and unfortunately AP Calc D. I know I’ll have some explaining to do but hopefully my grades don’t reflect senioritis and they just show that my missing out on lessons in calc due to a family emergency caused my slip in just that one class.
