HELP!!! Washington and Lee or Georgetown???

I recently was accepted to both the Washington and Lee and Georgetown business schools. Now I can't decide between the two. Any insights??

Have you visited W&L? I think it’s a great choice if you are 100% sure that it’s culturally right for you.

one of my friends transferred from W&L to Georgetown MSB, graduated last year, and is now working at Goldman Sachs. think about locations, opportunities, etc. Gtown MSB also will be opening its huge, new business building next month.

Money being equal-Georgetown.

Thank you all for your advice! I visited both schools and loved them both for various reasons. I am aware of the brand new building at Georgetown and realize that the business program there will be awesome. However, Washington and Lee is 14,000 less expensive and know people who have gotten great jobs from there as well. So basically is it worth spending the extra money for Georgetown??? ha thanks!!!

Georgetown, baby!

It sounds like you already like Washington and Lee better. If that’s the case, go there. You won’t succeed where you aren’t 100% happy.

W&L is a good school.

What I will say is this:

If business is your goal, Georgetown will be a better return for you investments (in most cases).

The W&L commerce school has a very strong reputation. You’d get a fair shot at financial job opportunities not only in the Boston-NY-Washington corridor, but also in Charlotte, Atlanta, Miami and Dallas, all significant commericial centers. W&L alumni do well.

I’m biased but I’d say go to W&L. LakeWashington is correct.

Also, if you prefer the environment and benefits afforded by a top LAC and want a great business education as well, W&L would definitely be the best choice. Plus, saving some money on the deal is an added bonus right from the start.
