Combined English and Writing: 26</p>
<p>when I am applying for colleges, which ACT scores will I use, the english or reading. Obviously my reading is better than my english but which do colleges look for. Which is equivalent to the SAT reading section?</p>
<p>For the most part, English and Reading will be weighted equally. It’s not like the SAT where the English score isn’t always even reported (and you are asked for a score out of 1600). Most commonly, the composite score will be the main score examined, plus the math subscore if you’re going for a STEM major.</p>
<p>Here is how it works. There is the most emphasis on the composite followed by mathematics and reading</p>
