I have come to this board asking for any type of assistance anyone here may offer.
History-
Currently an in-state senior with a current rank of 4/800+ students, weighed UF recalculated GPA of 4.71 and a single sitting SAT score of 2270. To my surprise, I was flat-out rejected for UF but my cousin who attends an alternate version of my same school for gifted kids was accepted and his GPA is in the 1.9 range and his SAT score was in the 880 range for all three sections. His name, date of birth and social security number are almost identical to mine and with 100% certainty I am sure that Florida mixed our applications together. I have tried along with my family members in vain to contact the admissions office today and all my request have fallen on deaf ears. Although I have been directed that official request for reconsideration for freshman admissions begin in several weeks, I am hesitant to follow this route as I need to respond in a timely manner to other pending college offers.
Any guidance would be sincerely appreciated!
Also, I am typing quickly on ipad and unable to correct grammer, sorry.

WOW, within three hours, administration resolved my dilemma. Thanks

Just curious, how did the fix your dilemma? Did you appeal?

An administrator @ my high school made a phone call to Florida on my behave and apparently Florida acknowledged the mistake and stated they would immediately look into it and pass on the information to a supervisor later this week for correction. I am hoping that “for correction” means reversal of my rejection.
To anyone else who’s application was rejected for “unknown”reasons…
Verify that what to me didn’t also happen to your application.
