Help with Calc BC?

If you don't want to read the whole thing, skip to the last question :)

I've always been a little iffy in the math department...getting low scores on one test and then 100% on the next, while studying just as hard for every test (sometimes even acing the ones on the hardest material, while getting a B or C on the easiest quiz). Somehow, I've managed to always bring my math grade up to an A or A- every semester. This year (I'm a junior), I'm taking Calc BC. I feel like I'm understanding the homework as well (maybe better) than I usually do and I'm studying the same amount, but I'm doing even worse on tests than usual (Cs and Bs instead of As and Bs).

Anyone have any tricks for how they studied and did well in Calc BC? How can I improve?

THANKS!

Only do homework when you feel like it. Exploit grade inflation. Get as many bonus points as possible. Guaranteed 100+ average.

OP might not go to a school where the teacher gives extra credit

No extra credit, grades are just tests, quizzes, homework, and finals. Homework is only 5% of the grade though, so it doesn’t really affect it (I wish it was worth more, I always have 100% in homework). I’m really just wondering about study tips/things people did to make calculus easier to understand and ways they made sure not to make mistakes.
