Help with choosing Phase 1

Hello I'll be a sophomore next semester. Anyways I currently a mechanical engineering who is looking to simultaneous degree in econ. At first I wasn't planning on going mech enginnering but instead cs and thus didn't take e7 or e10. So now i have to play catchup.

So my fall schedule will look like Physics 7B, Math 53, E10, E7, Econ 1

Now I was wondering what I should phase 1. I hear Physics 7B is a necessity or else you wont get the class.

So my phase 1 will be Physics 7B, and I'm thinking Math 53 however the discussion I want is at 8am and thus probably won't be very popular.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I think Math 53 can be Phase II. Def. phase I Econ if you want a certain discussion time. I’m not sure about the others

If you WANT an 8am discussion then I would phase II Math 53.

Maybe he does want an 8am discussion?

Yeah, Phase I Physics 7B definitely, and if you’re really sure about having an 8am class, then you can Phase II your Math 53. I would Phase I Econ 1, just so you have a good teacher/time.

Thanks a lot, I guess I’ll go physics and econ phase 1

I hope you realize that your schedule is a little…ambitious

Sure 19 units might not seem like a lot, but all of your courses are known for being rather difficult. Technical courses tend to be a lot more work per unit than non technical. You’ll be taking 30 hours of class a week. I say drop one of your courses and save it for spring. That’ll also make it easier to get all of your classes.
