Well anyhow I really want to transfer from the school I am at now (It Umaine need I say more). Unfortuantly my criteria isn't the best, there were some problems in HS im sure as many of you have had(spanning from way b4 HS) . But I dont feel as though I could last another year at my current school (social life/weather/ect..) so I would a appreciate any help as to pointing me in the right direction for my college search if you can please include some safties/reaches that would be of great, Thanx

You could look into the University of Vermont (think that's what it's called). You may also give Bates or Colby a shot, but they'd be reaches. What are some things you're looking for in a campus.

Well im really not intrested in going to a small LAC like colby bates ect... Id prefer moderate-large campus thats not in the middle of no where (like UMaine). Other than the following criteria Im really open to suggestion, overall id like to get into a better economics program as well.

I have another comment, my college advisor told me to apply to some farfetched schools (according to my stats) saying that I may have a shot. She said I would have a decent shot at the University of Chicago. Although she said this im a little more skeptical considering my HS grades + SAT's. Well anyhow I know id have a better shot if i stayed another year + retook SAT's but I just dont think I could bare that. So my question than becomes is there a shot outside of divine intervention occuring of me getting into University of Chicago.

the least you could do would be to retake the SATs and score well on them, as they will play a part since you don't have 2 years of college. chicago says they don't care about them that much, and i believe them to an extent, but it can only help if you do well.
