Hi! I’m a senior looking to expand the list of colleges I’ll be applying to. My first choice is San Francisco State, mostly because of the city. I am also looking closely at SJSU and UNR. These are my only 3 choices really, so I’d really like to add some more schools to my list. I’m a California resident, with a 3.3 W GPA, and 1130 SAT. I love mostly everything about SFSU, except I do wish it wasn’t such a big commuter school and had a little more ‘spirit’. I’ve been researching colleges outside of CA (would prefer to stay on the west coast), but have been having a hard time getting a feel for schools with just a google search. Can anyone point me in the direction of a pretty large, liberal, spirited, college in a fairly large city? I am open to both public and private, and out of state as well.
Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA? It’s liberal, largish, on the West Coast, and more or less in line with your stats. Not sure how your OOS status would factor into admissions and financial aid, but it’s worth a look.
Check out the Western Undergraduate Exchange program.
