Actually @millie210 yes i will be graduating when im 16.
@highschoolIB Ok. I have no idea whether or not adcoms pay attention to such things. If they do and if they care, they’ll notice and come to the likely conclusion (that you must have skipped a grade sometime before high school) on their own.
I just went back to your OP where you said that YOU [emphasis added] think skipping a grade should be allowed to help distinguish candidates. To be blunt, so what? If adcoms thought it was important, they’d ask. Many people disagree with many admission criteria. Schools, not applicants, decide what’s going to count and how much.
Listen, if you want to stick it in the additional information section go ahead. Maybe someone will actually be impressed. At worst, someone will roll their eyes. But I doubt it will make the difference you think it should.
ok but u didn’t have to be rude about it in your previous comment, it was rather disparaging
Skipping a grade really isn’t that unusual for many schools that don’t have robust gifted programs. The negativity you are seeing in this thread will likely be similar to what you would see from admissions committees if you opt to highlight this in your application in any way. It’s like MENSA. If you need something like this to prove that you are smart it makes it look kind of desperate because LOTS of people have MENSA level IQs and LOTS of people skip grades even if you don’t personally know any of them. It should be clear from your application what you have accomplished in High School and they can tell by your age that you skipped. No one is saying you aren’t smart but you don’t want to seem desperate to prove it with old information.
