Help with Course Selection?

haha okay that’s good!
one last thing. for my French class, I tested to 20201 - but the very low end of it. So, I want to take 10102 instead. Since it’s the second half of 10101, is it offered first semester or only second semester? If that makes sense. It’s the same with my math if I test out of 10550.

They will all definitely be offered both semesters.

Is the Theo class pretty difficult?

It varies widely based on professor. However, if you went to a Catholic high school, it shouldn’t be much trouble.

Hmm… wait so is Philo a one semester class? I’m not sure if someone answered that yet… haha sorry.

The intro to philo course is one semester. The second philo requirement is also one semester.

So I think I may have found a course list that leaves the option of Biochem OR SCPP open to me?

FYC/Seminar {Theo/Phil}

Math 10550

Chem 10181

French or Intro to Psych or Intro to Social Psych

French or Intro to Theo or Intro to Phil

PE

It’s like taking Biochem without the extra Bio class lol.
Either that, or I will take out #4. and add in the Bio class! Then it’d just be the Biochem plan.

Well, here is what I think is my final schedule :)!

1: FYS/Seminar

THEO 13183 06 – Foundations of Theology
PHIL 13185 03 – Introduction to Philosophy
PHIL 13185 05 – Introduction to Philosophy
THEO 13183 03 – Foundations of Theology

2: Math 10550 or 10560

3: Chem 10181

4:

HIST 10990 (Environment and Civilization)
Soc 10722 (Introduction to Social Psychology)
Soc 10033 (Introduction to Social Problems)

5: Bio 10161

6: PE

How does #1 and #4 look? I figure I’ll get a theo/phil req. out of the way with the seminar, and a hist. or soc. sci. req with my other spot! =]

Again, keep in mind, you don’t have any input over which section of Philo or Theo you get, but other than that it looks good. The trick is to make sure that the classes you’re taking that don’t get you credit for your major at least count for a university or college requirement, as these do.

Okay! Yeah, it’s okay if I put those specific numbers though right? I mean, they are all listed as different classes on the course selection thing, so I figure it was okay.

I considered other seminars (lots of them look interesting!) but since my major seems pretty jam packed, it seemed important to try & knock one out. I’m sure it will still be interesting though.

& I tried to do a hist./soc. sci. so I was not overloaded with theo/phil. I don’t think I would like to take a phil seminar at the same time as a theo class lol.
Thanks!

Hmm so does everyone agree that 5 academic classes plus PE as the 6th class is manageable and easy to stay on top of? Or would it be wiser to spring for 4 academic with PE as the 5th and final class? Or is that even possible? Haha

I’m doing 5 classes and PE as the sixth and I think that’s what most people do? (I’m assuming) I am not even sure you’d be allowed to just do 4 and PE but I’m sure someone else can answer for sure. =]

Everyone takes 5 academic classes plus PE. Your advisor will not allow you to register for only 4 academic classes.

Haha okay good. Cause my dad’s been on my case about taking too many classes. Phew.

Hm double post, but I think this is the final schedule that I’ll be sending in. Haha

Course 1:
FYC 13100
THEO 13183-06
PHIL 13185-05
PHIL 13185-03
THEO 13183-03

Course 2:
MATH 10550/10560

Course 3:
CHEM 10181

Course 4:
PSY 10000
SOC 10722
HIST 10990

Course 5:
BIOS 10161/10162

Course 6:
PE

haha leparfait has good taste in classes. x]

you are listing Theo and Phil twice. From what I understand you need to add 2 more classes, not sections of the same class, to get to the 4 choices required.

Today, June 22, is the last day to submit classes right?

Yes. You can do it online or fax the sheet it.

Nope, on the online form, you had to pick specific sections of the classes. So I was okay =] Thanks though!
