<p>i am a waitlister and i want to know how i would be able to dorm if the deadline for housing at UCI is May 1st but waitlisters find out their status on May 15?</p>
<p>I have a friend who got into UCI through appeals and found out near the middle of summer. And there were housing opportunities for them. Although, I doubt there were any rooms left in Mesa Court but there were spaces left in Middle Earth.</p>
<p>who was your friends roomate? was he able to choose? and was his first choice mesa court?</p>
<p>i’m pretty sure that if you’re waitlisted you say yes to irvine and then your backup school and you just have to pay housing fees for your backup school until you hear. since they are cutting back on admissions, there will be plenty of space in housing for you if you do get into irvine after the waitlist.</p>

I’m not entirely sure how the whole housing process works completely, but I do know that for those who have SIR’ed to UCI fill out their housing applications around June. So if you’re still on the waitlist around the time and have a preferred roommate, chances are it’s out of the question since you need certain pieces of information such as, ID numbers.</p>
<p>And I know last year, some girls who chose Mesa were put in middle. I’m guessing there were no more spaces for girls in Mesa. But for males, I’m not entirely sure how that goes. </p>

<p>no that really helped. it puts it in perspective for me. now i know what to expect as far requesting roommates and when it is that we are able to do that. i wasnt aware of the june housing app. i assumed that you sent all the roommate stuff in with your sir and housing thing on may1. im just curious because if i get acceppted after the june roommate deadline im wondering if i will jus room with some random person. you know? thanks for the info</p>
