Help with my list

Hi, first post. :)

I'm a Russian Jew from Brooklyn, NY.

My stats include:

-90.77 weighted average (school only weights)
-1130 SATs (have been studying and will take again in Nov. will def. break 1250)
-Hard News Editor of school newspaper
-Environmentalist Club
-Book Club
-NHS
-Student of the Month
-Internship at a Congressman's office this summer.

I'm looking at SUNY: Bing (EA), New Paltz, Stony, Geneseo.

The only school outside of NY I'm applying to is U Delaware. Are there any other good schools you guys can recommend? My family doesn't own a car and financial aid is very important because of my low income.

One of my hobbies is history/politics/current events, but i'm not sure that I want to work in this field.

I'd suggest:

DePauw University
Occidental College
Pitzer College
Beloit College
Lawrence University

Wheaton College (MA)
Wells College
Goucher College

Except for the last college, all guarentee to meet need. Wheaton, Wells, Goucher have mostly women--so you'll get a good aid package, if you're male.

With Your stats and If financial aid is very important, I'd suggest Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. They are very good on financial aid. also, I'd suggest University of Delaware, one of the best value school for out of state.

I would not suggest Calvin College. Here is part of their mission, and OP says that he/she is Jewish:

"We offer education that is shaped by Christian faith, thought, and practice. We study and address a world made good by God, distorted by sin, redeemed in Christ, and awaiting the fullness of God's reign."
