Help with scheduling?

Hey, so I’m a sophomore guy. I’m scheduling soonish for next year, and I’m evaluating my options. I’ve always been a math/science kind of guy. I also enjoy English. I have EC’s related to these interests. The problem is, because I haven’t taken any other arts or practical arts credits (other than grad. requirements, I took care of those), I’m scared I’ll overload myself on difficult courses, and have time for nothing else.

As a sophomore, I am taking:
French I
French II
General Chemistry (honors)
Algebra II (honors)
Trig (honors)
English II (honors)
World History (honors)
Human Body Systems

NOTE: I am on block scheduling, so I’m only taking 4 courses a semester. So I have no intention of taking AP Bio and AP Chem together, or other craziness like that.

Junior Year:
English III (honors)
Creative Writing
Medical Innovations
AP Bio
AP Chem
AP Gov
AP Calc AB
French III (honors)

Senior Year:
AP Lit
Grammar and Comp (honors)
APUSH (this class is a joke at my school. IK, weird. The teacher is great though :))
AP Calc BC
French IV (honors)
Anatomy and Phis (honors)
Stats
Biomedical Innovations

Now here’s my dilemma. I am very interested in these fields, but I am not sure I am capable of taking such a course load. I could replace 2 classes each year with yearbook, but I would have to make that decision ASAP. I am looking at some state schools, but I would REALLLY need the credits to transfer over, and/or a major scholarship of some kind (My family isn’t exactly wealthy).

Thanks guys, you da bomb.

How are you handling your current schedule? If it’s a good workload for you, you should be able to handle what you have planned. Just remember that AP classes can be stressful, so if you struggle at all with math or the more advanced sciences, I would really think about whether or not such an intense workload is a good idea. Honestly though, you are the only person who knows what you can handle.

Essentially, during each block, you would have 2 AP classes, 1 honors class, and one elective. That seems doable.

Does your school offer a programming or computer science class?

I would replace AP Lit with AP English Language.
If you’re interested in being premed, a class such as psychology (AP perhaps) or sociology would help you do well in these two required classes.
