Help with transfer

Hello all. I am looking to apply for transfer this October for fall 2020 to either CSULA, CSUDH, CSULB. I currently have a 2.8 gpa (taking summer courses, so I might have a 2.99 or 3.0) and I want you guys to chance me. My first year of college I failed a majority of my classes and I was not focused. This year I retook all those classes and have improved my life. The problem is although I am a California citizen I am non local. If I apply to all three of these schools as a computer information systems major, what do you think my chances are of being accepted by at least one of these schools?

Although this information is from 2018, it will give you an idea of your chances based on average CSU Transfer GPA by campus:

https://www2.calstate.edu/attend/counselor-resources/Documents/transfer-2018-admission-impaction-chart.pdf

https://www2.calstate.edu/attend/degrees-certificates-credentials/Pages/impacted-degrees.aspx says that CSUDH is not an impacted campus and has no impacted programs for upper division transfers. So meeting the minimum requirements for CSU transfer (see https://www2.calstate.edu/apply/transfer/Pages/upper-division-transfer.aspx ) and your major should get you admitted to CSUDH.

The thing is I am non local and I’m afraid that my previous grades might cause some concern

@Jumperman321: The local service area for Non-impacted CSU’s is all of California (no local service area) so it will make no difference as long as you meet the minimum requirements. Also consider the other non-impacted campuses such as Channel Islands, Bakersfield, Humboldt, Stanislaus and San Francisco.

Oh okay i did not know that. Csula is my top choice and I know their business department is impacted, but I’m hoping they accept me for computer info. Systems
