I’m a current student at a community college in Northern California. I entered college at the age of 17 and failed roughly 6 classes the first year. This is currently my second year and I have retaken all my failed classes with a B or higher. In fact by the end of Summer If everything goes right i might end up having a 3.0 gpa! I’m looking to apply to CSULA, CSULB, and CSUDH this October. Will these CSU’s be forgiving that I have retaken all the classes that I failed? Will they be understanding that I was still really young? I am a completely different student now and I am hoping to get accepted to one of these schools. Considering I am non-local what are my chances? Thanks for the help guys!
Talk to your counselor at the school. There should be a dept or office that advises for transfers.
generally - yes, they let you replace Ds and Fs but, there may be rules and limits you should explore.
It depends a little on your major but with a 3.0, you’ll probaby make DH and LA but not LB
Good luck.
Thank you for your replies! I plan to take summer courses as well. Hopefully the upward trend will convince them!
