Besides, I think that Wharton Undergrad is pretty pointless. You should spend less money going to another school for undergrad and then go to Wharton grad. And it's harder to go both Wharton undergrad and grad, so if you want get your MBA at Wharton, then you might not want to go to Wharton undergrad.

But isnt it true that going to wharton as undergrad provides more opportunities to get internships and build connections with important people?

wharton's name recognition and alumni network can be of tremendous value, though it depends on career path and firm...

personally, i have family and friends in internships and jobs at i-banks and other firms, and some of those who are or have gone through wharton have told me they enjoy privileges / placement above students of other schools, such as stern and cornell hotel.

the wharton name is very impressive, no doubt, and the alumni network is bound to be helpful. The facilities granted to wharton students are also amazing (huntsman). Don't think that wharton undergrad is pointless, as many people in wharton undergrad do not end up going to grad school.

To be honest though, the name will only do so much. If you make an effort to sell yourself well you will forge connections and find great internships, and will build a great base to start a career on.
