Help?

I am a high school junior currently and i just wanted to know about my chances as well as any suggestions for extracurriculars.

Unweighted GPA: 3.95
January SAT: 2210- plan on taking March and hopefully super scoring to a 2300
Plan on taking April ACTs as well as SAT 2s in both math 2 and us history

Junior year APs: Photo, Psychology, English Composition, Environmental
Senior year APs: Physics B, Statistics, Calc AB, Spanish, English Literature

As far as extracurriculars go, I did not play any sports throughout high school but i am in a few honor societies and clubs with officer positions in two of them

I do have a few, but not many, out of school activities and I was hoping somebody can suggest things that they has done that have further bolstered their application.
Thanks

Your GPA / SAT scores are competitive. Nonetheless, retaking it won’t hurt.

Assuming that your schedule is one of the most rigorous you can take at your high school, I think the only thing lacking from your application is some kind of passion.

Duke wants students that can contribute to their campus, there are lots of smart people who apply but don’t get in because all they do is academics (at least on paper).

My recommendation is to find something you’re passionate about and really spend a lot of time doing it; this summer could be a perfect time to do something like that. You should be able to say something specific that you have done rather than just saying “yeah I did a few things but nothing special.”

I agree with the poster above. Academically you are solid. Try to stand out with something that you do this summer or some school activity though, as a lot of people who apply are academically capable. If Duke is your top choice, think of applying ED, as it will definitely help your chances.

Thank you both!- And I do think I am definitely going to apply ED since Duke will most likely be my top choice and my biggest reach.
