What is the GPA Cutoff for transfer students applying to USAFA? Is the cutoff a 3.5 GPA?
I am an international student from Ghana studying as a business major, at a respectable college in Wisconsin. I would like to attend one of these service academies, which has an international cadet program. I am very interested in serving my country. My extracurricular activities at my university (University of Wisconsin-oshkosh), are:
School job (I work at the Union)
Club and Intramural Soccer
International Business Club
International Student Association (Treasurer)
I know that I would need sponsorship for my governmemnt, but I would like to know the necessary GPA Cutoff, before I can consider applying.

As a foreign student, you can NOT apply to the academy. The entire process is run though your home country. They decide who gets the slot and what is their criteria. The Air Force Academy has no say in the selection process of foreign cadets.

There is not a cadet from every country in every year group. The money to send students comes from FMS dollars. The money, military aid dollars are hard to come by especially in small countries. Many countries have many needs--spare parts for aircraft, training of mechanics, pilot training basic and specialized (C-130/F-16) and aircraft updates. Many of the airplanes flown by smaller countries are older and need major overhalls--bulkhead cracks are common.

The folks on this site can tell you what to bring to once you get in to AFA, but you need to talk to your country's Air Force/Military.
