I was waitlisted at my dream school, Fairfield :frowning: Is there anything I can do to better my chances of getting off the waitlist, or do I even have a chance?
1360, lots of ap / honors, good ECs, NHS, 96 gpa
Major: Nursing

  1. You can write a letter of continued interest to your admissions officer...let them know that Fairfield remains your top choice. If it is true you can say, "if admitted I will attend." If you have had any notable accomplishments since your application was filed you can mention them. Keep it short and sweet.
  2. After that move on and focus on the college's that have accepted you.

In 2017-2018 of the 3757 students waitlisted 1118 students accepted a place on the waiting list and 56 waitlisted students were admitted. I agree with happy1 about letting them know you would attend if admitted. Good luck!

I would encourage you to write a letter and perhaps reach out to admissions - my son had similar stats and was accepted to the School of Nursing - good luck!

By 56 waitlisted students admitted do you mean the one’s that were accepted out of the 1118 or 56 decided to attend the school?

Their common data set does not clarify how many of the 1118 were offered a spot off the waitlist just that 56 ended up attending.

Ok thank you, I was waitlisted and really want to attend. Hopefully I get in!

Good luck!
