HELP!!

I won’t be able to take my AP Calc AB test on the regular test day due to unforseen circumstances. My problem is that what if my high school does not chose to give me a makeup. Are they supposed to always give me a makeup if my reason is valid. If they don’t what are my other options for taking the test on a makeup day. Will the makeup test be harder. What is the curve difference

Let’s just assume that they will. Ask the school before panicking.

In theory, no

In theory, you would score the same on either version.

See what the CB says:

is there a deadline with ordering a late exam since i wont be able to contact the school until monday

sorry @skieurope I must have been posting before your post came through

In my area, you can go to other schools in your district/county/city and see if they are willing to accommodate you. I have friends who take Physics C AP exams at other schools because our school doesn’t offer it. In the case of AB, almost every high school in existence has the AB class and exam. If your school doesn’t allow makeups, check on other nearby schools.

Also examine the “circumstances”…is it something you could change the date of or skip?
Do your parents understand the importance of the tests?

You should be able to have some sort of accommodation available to you. Usually, you’d be able to take the test at a different location. I think that it would be best if you contacted College Board or talked to your counselor to see what you can do. I wouldn’t worry. I have a classmate who wasn’t able to take the AP Spanish exam on the intended date, so she took it at another school at another time.
