Help..?

I took the SAT for the first time in May. I went in cold, with no practice. Throughout the test, I was extremely nervous...borderline panic attack, and thus, not particularly productive. I barely finished any of the sections. It was a REALLY bad day.

That said, I got an 1830.

I'm retaking the test in June.

I'm aiming to get at least a 1950, and was wondering how likely that is, because with finals the week before the test, I won't have a lot of time to prepare. Will lack of nerves alone make a significant difference?

If anyone has thoughts on this, or stories about being in a similar situation, please share. I'd really appreciate it.

Are you a junior? If youre panicking and think you aren't ready, then don't take it. i know its like what 40 bucks [or 20] to reschedule, but seriously. Don't take it if your dead scared. Lol why'd you take the sat in may without any practice...haha, waste of money?

Yes, I'm a junior.

I'm not nervous for the June one at all. I was just wondering how much the fact that I'm not nervous will help my score (as that was what messed me up the first time).

As for the practice thing..time conflicts, mostly.

Oh it helps a great deal! You're clearheaded and youre not like panicking and getting nervous, so it helps a whole lot. It helped me too
