Okay...
So I sent in my SCEA stuff a long time ago but I just recently found out that my teacher made a mistake and forgot to send the second of the two recommendations. He sent it immediately and it should be there, but it is past the EA deadline. He called the school on Friday, but I don't know the result of that. I know that some schools are lenient if there's an error that's not your fault and some schools aren't... what is Stanford like in situations like this? Thank you for your help.

Call the admissions office Monday. But they are flexible with items that are not within the applicant’s control. So long as all of your items were there by the deadline. You will see that schools will contact you about missing items as you go through the admissions process and they will consider the late materials if you get them there withing a reasonable period after being notified that something is missing. Last app season, my son sent an optional rec after the EA deadline and he was accepted.

Thank you. I’ll call on Monday to verify. My stuff was all sent a month ago, but my teacher accidentally sent a rec. to another school thinking that I had told him that was my EA instead of Stanford. Not a big deal to me since it was accidental, but I was just wondering if I was still eligible.
