Hi, guys. I have a question. I think I applied HEOP program when I was doing my cornell application, but then I realized it was something different than I thought. Because of my family financial problem, I thought if I applied EOP program, I can have free tuition. But then it says EOP gives students who have the ability for academic success, but not the requirements for regular admission, the chance to attend Cornell University, which sounds completely different in my case. I think I definitely have the ability to go for regular admission with all my pretty high SAT grades and GPA, but the reason I am going for it is for financial reason, so should I still apply for EOP? or I should apply for regular admission? I am so confused right now.

Any idea? ......

You are kind of late to apply for non H/EOP at this point.

Basically H/EOP is for students who have a lower than average SAT score, with lower than average grade, and by "average" I mean what the school generally accepts, and also have an incredibly low income.

You are right in saying that HEOP students go free to Cornell without any loans, but it's only for kids who CAN'T get accepted the REGULAR way.

If you do decide to apply H/EOP it does increase your chances of admission, but if your grades and SAT are too high, they will disregard your application under H/EOP and just accept the regular way.

If you feel you do not fit the criteria above, send in questionaire number one, and tell them you wish to not be considered for admission via H/EOP.

Send it as soon as possible so they can consider your application under regular admission standards.

Thanks,Drman. I actually just called them and they told me just mail them the completed form, and they will decide upon whether to consider my application as EOP or regular. My SAT and GPA both fall in the range of their regular standards, so should I fill out EOP form anyway?
