When is all our medical stuff due? Do I have to send in something to confirm that I got my hep B stuff? Is the health insurance automatically given to everybody or do I have to sign up for it? Anything else I need to get done health-wise? thanks!

Yeah, there's a form that you have to fill out and send to the medical offices (University Health Services?) to show that you've completed the Hepatitis B series, and you've got to turn that in by the deadline. I know that you've finished it, but for those who haven't, get a shot immediately and you can finish the the other two shots while at Berkeley. Forms for those who have completed the requirement, as well as those who have only partially completed it, you can just log onto your admissions log-in site and search through the checklist until you've reached the link regarding Hepatitis B. Oh heck, I'll just include the darn link =):

(It's due August 29)

Yes, if you do not sign a waver and prove that you have a comparable health insurance outside the University, then you will be automatically charged for the school's insurance plan (~$900?); the waver is due on the 15th of August.

As for other medical stuff, there are recommendations of other types of diseases that you should've been tested for, but none of it is mandatory. If you have specific questions, you'd best direct that to the health services. Hope that answered your quesitons,

TTG

wow thanks for all of that! (:

yeah, but has anybody had their hep b checked off on the checklist? I sent my form in early July and it hasn't been.

i think it's one of those things that you check off yourself.
