I’m a second year community college student at CA. My major is psychology and I applied to all UCs for Fall 2018. But my main one is UCLA.

GPA: 3.72 (will go up to 3.8 end of fall)
Completed 2 out of 5 pre-requisites for major by UCLA’s requirements (will have to take Stats, Chemistry, and Bio in spring).

English: Somewhat. Taking eng 101 right now and eng 102 this winter

Personal statements:
My first one was about major prep. I wrote how I’m passionate about psychology. I wrote how I prepared myself through high school by reading books. I wrote about how my psychology professor is really helpful and makes a great relationship with me as a mentor.
My second one was on the creative prompt. I wrote how music has always been a passion of mine and that I can’t be without music because it helps me through stressful times. I also talked about music psychology, which applies to my major
Third one was on how I made my school/community a better place, I wrote about the various clubs I’m in, like my honors society where we volunteer i various community events, along with holding toy drive for needy kids. Also wrote about being in student gov and how we help students.
Last one was on what separated me from other UC applicants. i wrote that I am a very determined person and how my cultural background and struggles made me determined.
Everyone I showed my statements to said they were really good and that I had a high chance to get in to UCLA.
