hey guys i am an international student and need desperate help!

I am an Indian citizen student who has studied his sophomore and junior year of high school in the USA. I now plan to apply to American colleges. Here’s a few background facts about me:

I moved to America in 2014 after completing my freshman year. I was born in Nepal to Indian parents and grew up there until 7 years of age. I then moved to Saudi Arabia and lived there until 2014. I did my freshman year in Saudi Arabia. However I am fluent in English since I have always studied in an English medium school.
My current non weighted GPA is 3.9 out of 4.0. And weighted is 4.7 out of 5.5 (only for the US). I received straight As in my freshman year too in Saudi Arabia.

I have a new march 2016 SAT score of 1420. I plan on taking the ACT for a good score this September.

My ECs: Math Club President(11th), Chess Club Tactician(9,10,11), Crossfit Club(10th,11th), Track and Field (10th), Cricket (9th), Science Bowl (10th,11th)

So basically my main question was whether u guys could point out any good colleges for me that fit my academic and EC standings and will provide generous financial assistance to me. Thank you!

I plan to major in Comp. Sci and Engineering.

*who has studied his sophomore…

Also I plan to major in comp sci and engineering.

Can I ask what state you live in? This is pretty important as you will save a lot on tuition unless Saudi Arabia will pay it for you? Also I like you name :slight_smile:

@PetEngineer I live in Pennsylvania. And no Saudi won’t pay for me. I am an Indian citizen :frowning:

How much can your parents pay each year for 4 years?

@dankmemer01 Okay so what is the amount that you can afford per year? Minimum and Maximum?

@mom2collegekids
Any idea what kid of aid this student would get at the Alabama schools?

I believe that a 1420 on the New SAT is lower than a 1400 on the old one.

He needs (I think) a 1450 to be equivalent. UA hasn’t yet announced its merit scholarships for this app cycle, so I don’t yet know what he’d be offered.

As far as need based aid, we have no idea since you’re an int’l AND we don’t know your parents’ financial situation.

What are your parents saying? How much will THEY pay each year?
