•My ACT is a 35, SAT: 2340(superscore)-800cr, 740m, 800w, SAT II's:800 Us history, 700 lit(will probably retake), going to take Math 2 and Physics, would take Latin if I didn't think I would fail it
•All A's
•Class Rank: 1/354 at a Top 5 Public School
•Major: Undecided, but I was thinking PolySci and try to minor in the classics</p>

•Latin Awards (there are a lot so I'll just do Junior Year): Regional Forum(all FJCL stuff)-1st place ADV Hellenic ZHistory, 2nd Place ADV Roman Republic History, 3rd Place ADV Roman Empire History; State Forum: 1st Place ADV Hellenic History and Best in Show(Highest overall score out of all levels in that category), 3rd Place ADV Roman Republic History; also, last year, won regional Certamen(Latin Brain Brawl) and was Captain of the team
•Vice President of JSA( JUnior State of America-debate club sort of thing), Won Best Speaker Award
•An Editor for the IB Magazine at my school and also a featured writer
•Academic Worldquest run by the World Affairs Council: WOn regionals in 9th and 11th grade, finished in top 10 at nationals 11th grade
•Lead Speaker in Great Decisions(Run by World Affairs Council): Would be president if the sponsor believed in elected office
Also, I play Guitar and have a band(we suck)</p>

I am probably like most Asian students they get, would have liked more leadership stuff</p>

<p>As an Eagle Scout, you have tremendous leadership stuff. I’d say you have very good chances at highly selective schools, including Yale. But the top schools are tough, so you might get a fair share of rejections, too, so make sure you have a good balanced list of schools.
I think the fact that you are into Scouting, Latin, and playing guitar in a band (even if you suck) cuts against the idea that you are like most of the Asian applicants they get. It may also help that you’re from Florida, but I’m not sure about that.</p>
