Hey guys...

Do you guys think its possible to go to Arizona State University(Freshmen Year) and then transfer to University Of Michigan With of course good grades? What is the likely hood? I live in Michigan but I got deferred from UMich and lets be honest I wont be getting in. And yes CC and dearborn Ect. are options but I am not going to do that.

sure its possible…are you a guy or a girl? Be aware ASU is a huge party school. I couldn’t imagine going to school there and remaining focused only on academics.

If you were deferred from Michigan, why are you so sure you will not get in? If you do get rejected by UMich, then I imagine you could have no problem transferring to Michigan from Arizona State if you do well. You really would need to do well at ASU to have a chance because of how less competitive Arizona State is than Michigan. But, if you can make the dean’s list at ASU and compile some impressive ECs, I don’t see why you couldn’t transfer to UMich.

The fact that you were deferred means you were in the “ballpark” so of course you have a chance. Even if you were rejected, if you do well as ASU, you always will have a chance.

Thanks Guys yeah I did not have good first semester grades for senior year so thats why I might not. ALSO Michigan STate Denied me :frowning: so I dont know why or how that happened but yea.

And I just got accepted to ASU!!! haha just checked! Yeah I feel like I would go to ASU and love it and not want to leave but if I did there would be no point in transferring to Michigan State(MSU) I would rather Try to Transfer to UMich. The main thing is making sure I have good grades and the credits transfer.

Hey! I just wanted to tell you that I was in the same boat. I got deferred and ultimately rejected by UMich and I ended up going to Auburn University, got a 4.0 and some great extra curriculars in and just sent in my transfer application a few weeks ago! They’ll give preference to junior and sophomore applicants, but it’s still a chance you should definitely take! One of the great things about the University of Michigan is that they make information so available to prospective transfer students. They have a website where you can find out exactly which courses transfer from your school for equivalent credit. I suggest using that list to plan your course load. Other than that, Good luck and Go Blue!!

Thanks I’ll check it out and Good Luck!
