Hey guys

Sorry, I'm a bit clueless about what to do..
but do you think I should take Chem.series first, or start with the LifeScience.Series for the first quarter?

I'm a biology major.. and am planning for medical school

Thanks!

EDIT: also, when do people usually start taking the physics series?

Doesn't matter which you start first. Just make sure you plan it out right as certain LS classes will require you have completed up to a certain level of chem.

Anytime with the physics...probably 2nd or third quarter. Good to be done with em before the end of the 2nd year.

If you can handle the two-fisted workload, start both the Chem series and the LS series concurrently. If you can't, then I recommend you take the Chem series first. Some LS courses have Chem prerequisites, but not vice versa... After all, Chemistry is the mother science of Biology.

Chemistry before life science (after you finish ls1, you can't go on without completing some chemistry courses). The two you should really be considered with finishing early on are math and chemistry, since they are pre-reqs for your other lower divs (math for physics)

how much math is needed for physics? And what do premeds usually take? the non-calc or calc physics courses?

There is no non-calc Physics series. You should take the 6 series. And in order to take 6A, you have to have completed Math 3C.
