It’s being reported that her website says that she has not yet decided where to go to college and that when she does, she will post it on her web site.

I just looked and yesterday she said she hadn’t decided.

^ That wasn’t updated because her Cambridge interview wasn’t done yet. But Cambridge has already released acceptances and she didn’t get an offer.
So, she might really go to Brown.

i would be surprised if she didn’t have her pick of schools. before the admissions decisions came out there was a lot said about her high grades and legitimate academic credentials, not to mention her exclusive pre-college education, in addition to her film career.

I’m also not sure where anyone is getting this information. There seems to be one British tabloid that mentioned she was coming here, but RML keeps talking about where she did and didn’t get in, etc etc.

Just taking the opportunity to bash Brown, RML, or are you just a huge fan that thinks this thread is really worth participating in?

Separate from that, if anyone had a real source, apparently this is interesting enough that many people would like to read it.

^ Don’t jump into that conclusion yet, molody. I’m not bashing Brown at all. I got an email from fellow Cambridge alumni about her application and the subsequent result… there have been 4 emails about her on Cambridge in my inbox.

Brown is a fantastic school. If Brown accepted her and Cambridge/Yale did not, that wouldn’t taint Brown’s name at all as acceptances at these high-caliber schools can be quite random.

^^

Not jumping so much as wondering. I just found this to be a weird thread of all the ones currently on this forum to be contributing to. Do Cambridge alumni get updates on applicants? Brown, so far as I know, wouldn’t even officially release if she was accepted due to privacy concerns. This may work differently internationally, I’m not sure.

^ My sources aren’t that reliable.
The UK is a very small country. News can circulate pretty rapidly.
And, yes, people would know who got an offer and what not.

Brown is an amazing school. It wouldn’t be a bad alternative to Yale. Not at all.

lol

the **** the media feeds to the public…
and the **** the public believes…

and btw:
she never ever (never ever) (forever ever? - yeah never ever) applied to the little haven in New Haven that we call Yale University.

^odd post^

… but true.

I’m pretty sure she never even applied to Brown. And I’m sure she never applied to Yale - though, according to the media as of a few weeks ago, she was attending Yale… BS.

Why do you sound so angry? How do you know she didn’t apply to Yale?

Is this real life?

Yay I instigated a stupid post!

lol poubelle do I actually sound angry?

And anyways… believe me; it’s the truth.

so my friend asked Panetha Ott, who is the Associate Director/Director of International Admission, and she confirmed that Emma Watson applied to Brown and was accepted. However, she has yet to confirm that she’s attending

The Government, you do sound angry and you are going to become even angrier when the news come out.

haha I’m sorry for sounding angry.

And apparently the news is already out… but it’s not true.

Nearly everyone on here believed the story that Emma was accepted to Yale… was she? No.
Don’t believe the media - it sucks.

Wow epic disappointment …

But yea the media must be ROFL-ing at us.

OMGIT’SEMMA!! This is exciting news.

We can NEVER be sure until Emma Watson confirms it herself. But if Panetha Ott confirmed it, it must be true. I met her in person last October here in my country. =)

Now I’ll really cry if Brown rejected me in June (I’m waitlisted). Huge HP fan here. Well at least both of us applied to Brown…haha

But then again, need to wait for Emma’s confirmation for the TRUTH.

The Government: Didn’t she state on her website that she was accepted to Yale? That may be a source of the “rumor.”
