<p>Lola came home 2 weekends ago for neice's wedding! So great to have her here even if for only a few hours.</p>
<p>Great to see all are doing well, but in this house, I do the Cooking, and the dishes. but don't let me near the laundry or everything will be the wrong color, and although the Navy taught me how to fluff, fold and iron. I would pay anything to never do that again. </p>
<p>BTW my wife does Bake the best blueberry muffins ever. I do let her in MY kitchen for that. </p>

<p>Grrrrr! It's going to be snowing in Chicago on Wednesday night. That should mess up the entire country's flights. :mad:</p>

<p>This is kind of a bittersweet Thanksgiving for us. From now on, it's going to be hit or miss as to whether or not our Mid (soon to be Ensign) will be able to join the family for the holiday. With both my babies (they HATE when I say that) home together for the first time since August, I'm determined to relax and enjoy the weekend. </p>
<p>Here's wishing EVERYONE a wonderful Thanksgiving with their Midshipman! Give them extra hugs to get them through exams until they're home again at Christmas.</p>
<p>Last by definitely not least...GO NAVY-BEAT ARMY!!!!!!!!!!!!</p>
<p>Oh! That is so sweet! He will be beginning the trek home on Wednesday afternoon, and will arrive here about 15 hours later. Keep you fingers crossed for the Chicago weather to allow flights to go unimpeded! Alaska Airlines will fly in any weather, it is just the airport shutting down that worries me! He will leave then on Saturday at 7 pm to get back in time. He must know that we really want him home! :) </p>
<p>I hope everyone has their loved ones near this holiday! If anyone ever has anyone in Alaska, they are welcome here!<br>

<p>Also has a spot in CT if needed. Anytime leave schedule does not allow long distance travel and he wants to "get away". We are five hours driving from driveway to gate one and one hour flight BWI to BDL. More than welcome.</p>

<p>Hate to rain (snow?) on anyone's parade, but Chicago (that means O'Hare) is expecting 4" of snow beginning this afternoon. My daughter is probably going to sleep at LaGuardia.</p>

<p>The GRINCH is back on in NEW YORK for Thanksgiving weekend!</p>
<p>So glad to live in the south in the winter. BWI flights are on time at the moment. Sunny 72" in Baltimore currently. Lola leaves in 45 min. HOORAH!</p>
<p>Well, the flight from NY was late coming in, so son's flight could not leave on time from BWI, so he was not going to make his Chicago connection, and since the next flight would have been at 8am, but there were no seats from Anchorage to Fairbanks, he is enjoying the hospitality of his roommate's sponsor family. </p>

<p>I'm so sorry but also glad that he's okay. My daughter's flight to Chicago was cancelled, but she was able to fly out on another flight that was delayed several times before finally taking off. We had almost no snow so I'm not sure what happened, just am glad she got here safely.</p>
<p>and now just a couple weeks and they will be home again! HOOORAH!!!</p>
