Hey need help with a GE (Revelle)

Hi! I enrolled in 12 units and I'm happy with 3 of my classes. Now I need some advice on the last class. I was recommended taking a language since I'm in Revelle, but I don't know if I could handle a foreign language. I didn't do too well with it in high school. I was put in LISPB/BX so I'm wondering if anyone has past experience with Spanish classes. Should I take the Spanish or save it til summer school or maybe next year? If so, what other class should I take? Any recommendations on any other GE's would be welcome! Thanks

Since you’re in Revelle, it’s not really a question of whether you think you can “handle” a foreign language. You’ll HAVE to take it. Unless you manage to transfer colleges, which is not going to be an option anytime soon. (See previous threads)

If you want to continue with Spanish, don’t hold off on taking it. Your language skills are only going to get weaker if you’re not practicing it. You might also enjoy learning a new language more than struggling with Spanish, and it would only be an extra quarter of class to finish the requirement.

ANTH23 is an easy way to get the American Cultures requirement done with (LIGN7 is a harder way). If you’re a guy, TDMV1 is basically an automatic A as long as you show up to class. (There are usually one or two per class per quarter)

Haha I am a guy and I think I’ll take TDMV1 eventually. Thank you for the input. I think I will either enroll in ANTH23 or start French :)
