Hi. This is not my profile as I am still in Junior High
But, my sister is a sophmore this year and is going into Junior year next year. Please let us know what you think.

A 3.8-3.85 unweighted GPA out of 4

SAT I...expecting maybe a 2100 or 2200
SAT II's all above 700 to 750 I would guess

EC's:
Youth leadership
math club
science olympiad
Masque and Mime (drama)
school magazine

Community service:
tutoring kids after school

Special:
Piano lessons
Voice lessons (took one year and got into Level 6 out of 6)

Awards so far:
Youth leadership award
many others

Looking to graduate in top 10 percentile

She is good friends with the interviewer at Cornell
She also knows the Dean of something (i forget what) at Cornell.

So being honest, what are her chances and please tell us where she can improve and what else she can do.

sorry... one of the interviewers, said she'll put in good word

Bump...please help!

she's on track.
She should get friendly with her Junior teachers and guidance counselor because she will need recs.

Expected scores are kind of BS, no offense. She probably shouldn't be worrying too much about her chances if she hasn't even taken the SAT I yet. Start worrying about chances mid junior year.

Why are there 13 year olds in Junior High on CC? come back in 3 years and live like a kid for a while!!! You don't get to have mom and dad do everything for you forever!

The ECs are kind of abstract, so I can't really tell much about them. All I can say is it doesn't matter how good you are at what you do. It matters how much you care and how dedicated you are. They want to see students who use time well. Thats great if you're "all state" or national champ or something, but in general, if you're passionate about something, thats what they want.

Your sis is def in the running. Not a student you'd say "don't even both set your sights lower" to. Tell her to keep working hard and not to let her grades drop. Good Luck

Thanks for letting me view your sister's................................chances.
Your sister has really nice-looking........................................chances.

All mockery of your verb choice aside, seriously tho, sparticus is right, why the hell are you on CC? It's college confidential, not kindergarten confidential. It's kids like you who make getting into good schools these days a complete clusterf**k. At age 13, all i did was play GoldenEye and sit on my ass. You should live it up a little and not be worrying about college admissions. Maybe high school admissions, but I don't wanna see anymore CC posts out of you, son.

Damn it. Had a nice sarcastic comment prepared but was beaten to the punch.

BTW: Your sister's chances look good.

UP TO age 17 all i do is play GoldenEye and sit on my ass

oh and also, the whole "my sister" bit isnt working...we know its you

:)
