Hey,who has been admitted by materials engineering of Mcgill this year?

I'm now finding future classmates.

I have! But I will probably transfer to Mechanical Engineering…

But do you realize that McGill only has around 20-30 incoming Materials Engineering undergrad students each year? So you probably won’t find many on this forum.

yeah, that’s true. May I ask that why you want to transfer to Mechanical Engineering?

Well… I wanted to do Mechanical Engineering to begin with, but wasn’t accepted. However, I might just stay in Materials Engineering, or I might try to go into Electrical Engineering. The main reason I want to go into Mechanical Engineering is because it is very broad in a sense, and can cover more than, say, Materials Engineering and Electrical Engineering (From what I hear).

And also, since McGill just recently separated Mining and Materials Engineering into two divisions (Mining Engineering and Materials Engineering), I feel like there is a good probability that they will still be intertwined a bit, and I do not care to study Mining Engineering.
